The MAP Initiative
Multi-Actor Partnership (MAP) platform is a comprehensive 3-year cross-border development initiative that addresses the unique challenges faced by communities living along the Kenya-Ethiopia border.
Geographic Focus
The project region is located along the Kenyan-Ethiopian border (see map in Annex 1). On the Ethiopian side, it includes the three districts (woreda) of Dire, Dillo and Dassanech with an estimated 172,465 people. The first two lie in Borena Zone, while Dassanech district lies in South Omo Zone.
Implementation Period
2022-2025: A three-year comprehensive program designed to create lasting impact and sustainable development outcomes.

Supported by BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) and implemented through strategic partnerships.
